==Dell 1125 Multi Function Printer==
* Josh Williams acquired this beast from Carl on Craigslist 06/05/2012. Please let him know of any status changes with the Printer.


* The toner cartridge is low, and SUPER finicky. ie: If you remove the toner, it takes a mysterious amount of pushing to get it into position. If the toner door doesn't close with a quick forceful snap, then the toner probably isn't in all the way.
 
* It's missing the paper loading tray, which makes it funky to load paper. [See image for wonderful example of functional setup https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-6Kb2epjpzNY/T86xwMS92uI/AAAAAAAAFh0/9xXgv8dlKD0/w577-h769-k/2012-06-05].

* It doesn't have built in network support.
Printer, Scanner, Copier and Fax machine. Can print color, and double-sided.
* It's hooked up to the main HP machine for the moment. Initial google search for linux support seems to be fairly negative.
 
* I'll call the owner and see if he has the paper tray. I'll look into mounting the printer similar to where the previous HP 1320 was over the next few days.

If printing from a thumb drive, insert the thumb drive, select the file, and print. This works, but has fewer options for print settings.


==HP LaserJet 1320 Laser Printer==
Network printing can give more options. For Linux machines, get on the member network or hardwired network, and use the print settings wizard. The standard Gnome print settings wizard can detect the printer, select the right driver, and configure CUPS correctly. If you want somewhat more advanced print options like double-sided printing, configure that in these print settings.


* Currently does not print duplex (two-sided) locally from that PC. This should be fixable -- the printer itself supports it, it's just a matter of drivers which do exist for linux.

*  Has built in wireless for remote printing (I think) but this doesn't seem to work right now either.

For printing on atypical materials (glass, wood, cloth, etc.), we have a [[UV Flatbed Printer]].


* Currently sitting in the corner in the main room by the PC.

HP LaserJet Pro 400 Color MFP
