Info on printer

This is the small-office grade color laser printer currently hooked up to the AHA wired network. It's located by the AHA PCs.

Dell 1125 Multi Function Printer

Info on printer

  • Connection: USB
  • Currently connected to: ALLHANDSACTIVE (HP Touchscreen Computer in main workspace)
  • The toner cartridge is low, and SUPER finicky. The cartridge that came with it requires a mysterious amount of pushing to get it into position.
    • If the toner door doesn't close with a quick forceful snap, then the toner probably isn't in all the way. It does NOT require lots of force.
  • Printer loading tray is missing, which makes it funky to load paper. See image for wonderful example of functional setup.
  • It does not have built in network support.
  • It is hooked up to the main HP machine for the moment. Initial google search for linux support seems to be fairly negative.

Things to do

  • Find a good location for this guy, document how to print to it (should be easily printable from MacOS, Windows, Ubuntu)
  • Find proper paper tray
  • Find out how much
