Perler beads (also known as melty beads or fusion beads) are fun! They are plastic beads that fuse together when heat is applied. They typically maintain their holes when fused, making it easy to use them as jewelry, ornaments, or other items that are strung. Perler beads are often organized into shapes by the use of molds, which have a flat base and short spikes to put the perler beads on. The beads will fuse with each other but not the mold, and the holes remain after fusing, allowing the creator to lift the finished piece off the mold easily.

AHA has a collection located on the shelves near the front door. A iron should be located near the sewing supplies in the classroom. Make something cool!
