AHA members can participate in our tool lending library. Most tools that can be carried can be lent out. Check the tool library, and check out your tool. If it isn't listed, add it to the database.

Checking out a tool

  1. Register for an account on http://allhandsactive.lend-engine-app.com/
  2. Make sure you are logged in.
  3. Search or or browse for the tool you want to check out.
  4. If the tool isn't found, add it using the instructions below.
  5. Click borrow/reserve and select how long you will borrow the tool, then add it to your basket
  6. Use check out now and then check out to actually borrow the tool.

Returning a tool

  1. Navigate to the tool you have reserved. You can search for it by name, by code, or find it under My account > Loans
  2. Use Check in to return the tool. Either return it to In stock or Repair locations, as appropriate.
  3. Click Check in selected items and you are done :-)

Adding a tool

  1. If you are a board member, use the master password file to log to lend engine as an administrator.
  2. If you are not a board member, ask a board member to create an administrator account for you (Admin > Settings > Staff / team > Add a new user).
  3. Add an item using Admin > Items > Add loan item.
  4. Fill in the important information about your item. The more complete you can be, the better. If the items has a wiki page, link to it. Include information about where it is stored.
  5. Save the item. You will now be able to add photos of the item. Please do so.
  6. Save the item again.
  7. Brag about your good work on Matrix (chat.allhandsactive.org)

Note, if there is no appropriate category for your item, add it using Admin > Settings > Item categories.
