This page exists to consolidate information that will help people who run the front desk. If you help run shift, you should be familiar with everyone documented here, and probably a whole lot more!

How do I explain to people what we are?

  • We are All Hands Active, a hackerspace, makerspace, and gaming center bowl of AWESOME.
    • Find out what that person is interested in, and then focus on how space can benefit them. Ask them questions!
    • The about us page on allhandscative.com has some fun commentary and videos!
  • In short: We are a place where people can come down to create, socialize, and relax. We do this by providing people access to tools, resources, information, and the latest video games.


Handling financial transactions

  • ie: How do we take money!
  • Most payments occur using the iPad.
    • Cash is deposited into the register (hit NS key)
  • If people are paying for time on PCs & Consoles, please also see the Smartlaunch Non Tech section on using Smartlaunch.


Membership

  • Member Processing contains information on how to process new members, membership payments, etc.
  • Membership Payment Status for when a member comes down and pays staff for their membership. This does NOT get updated for paypal payments.

Tech Stuff

  • For updating, launching, controlling, monitoring, etc..
  • Smartlaunch contains information on how to use Smartlaunch & Brain to install games, setup licensing, etc.
  • Internal Computer Error Reports This is for first reports of computer problems, and applies to all machines down here.
  • MYTH Computer Error Reports This is for machines supplies by MYTHLOGIC, and only when the problem is severe, or is easily repeatable.

General Use

  • For adding time, logging users in, etc.
  • Smartlaunch Non Tech for adding users, adding time, logging people in and out, etc.

  • Daily Logs is an internal log of events / madness that happens down here.
