This is a benchtop model bandsaw capable of sawing up to 4 5/8" stock.  It can be used with 1/8" - 1/2" blades.  Generally, the 1/4" blade will be installed. A 1/4" blade will cut a minimum radius of 5/8".  A smaller or larger blade can be installed upon request.

Safety

Use caution and common sense when using this tool. It will easily take your finger off.

Follow ALL safety procedures

  1. Secure loose hair and clothing.
  2. Wear safety goggles.
  3. Check and clear your perimeter before starting.
    1. Close the door of the tool room when operating the saw
    2. Do not approach someone while they are using the saw.
  4. Make sure blade is properly tensioned (see page 11 of manual).
    1. Ensure the blade tension knob is in the rear position.
    2. Turn blade tension knob clockwise to increase tension or counter-clockwise to decrease tension.
  5. Adjust hold down foot for each new operation so it contacts the top of the stock/material being cut (see page 13 of manual).
    1. Move the hold down rod up or down and tighten the lock handle.
  6. Start the saw clear of material. Let it come up to full speed before engaging the blade.
  7. Always keep fingers at least 3 inches away from the blade.
    1. Never guide the material with your hands or fingers in front of the blade.
  8. Only cut stock/material that is flat on the bottom.
    1. Your fingers should never be under the material.
  9. If you need to back the blade out, stop the saw and let the blade come to a complete stop before backing out.
  10. Let the blade come to a complete stop before clearing scrap material.
